We build the system that
keeps workers alive.
LOTO failures are rarely malicious — they're procedural. Paper forms get lost, steps get skipped, energy sources get missed. Setyr eliminates those gaps with a digital system built specifically for the complexity and demands of industrial operations.
Industrial operations don't get second chances
Setyr was built from the ground up for industrial environments — not adapted from a generic workflow tool. Every feature reflects the reality of maintaining complex equipment with multiple energy sources, multiple crews, and zero tolerance for error.
Our platform handles the full LOTO lifecycle: procedure authoring, energy source documentation, live execution with step confirmation, supervisor oversight, and automatic compliance documentation.
Worker safety above all
Every design decision is evaluated against one question: does this make workers safer?
Compliance built in, not bolted on
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements are embedded in every workflow — not an afterthought.
Enterprise-grade architecture
Built for the demands of 24/7 industrial operations — multi-tenant, with data isolation and security treated as first principles.
Scales with your operations
From a single facility to enterprise-wide multi-site deployments, Setyr grows with you.
Built by people who pioneered Bluetooth locks for industrial safety
The team behind Setyr helped pioneer the use of Bluetooth locks for industrial safety — building the SmartLOTO lockout/tagout platform at Noke, and holding a U.S. patent for multi-keyholder electronic LOTO locking (granted as US 11,098,500). We know the connected-lock approach intimately, because we helped invent it.
That experience is exactly why Setyr is built the way it is. The real advance of the connected lock was making the state of every lock and every worker’s lockout digital — and that part genuinely mattered. But the hardware carried a heavy tail with it: per-lock cost, finite battery life, ongoing maintenance, and a real struggle to operate reliably in cold climates. Powered electronics in hazardous areas were the hardest part of all — the certifications needed to use them there are difficult to earn and even harder to keep current. And a dead battery in the field meant jump-starting the lock from an external power source, which is the last thing you want to be doing around a hazardous energy source.
Meanwhile the harder problem stayed largely unsolved: the procedure, the execution, and the record. In practice, the lock is the easy part. The system of record around it is what holds up at an audit, survives a shift change, and proves what actually happened. A digital lock state is valuable — but it does not have to come bundled with proprietary hardware, a battery in every padlock, and a certification treadmill.
So Setyr is software-first and hardware-agnostic by design. It works with the locks you already own, it doesn’t hold your padlock hostage to a connected ecosystem, and it puts its depth where the real risk lives — in how isolation is procedurally planned, executed, and documented. It’s the system we learned the industry needed after years of working on the hardware side of it.
